Description: A wreath of red-berried holly and mistletoe is wrapped with a golden rope trimmed with tassels, and is accented with small specialty stitch ornaments embellished with beads. A white-work style border with a lattice pattern background completes the design.
Background Information: Designed in response to requests for traditional Christmas-style pieces, this wreath is my attempt at working with a subject that has been done very well... by many, many designers. The challenge, of course was to make it different *and* interesting to stitch!
Stitching Comments: I would rate this piece fairly easy: it's an average size design, the chart is easy to read, the floss list is not extensive (although most of the colors are blended), and there is the added diversion of specialty stitches, in case you get bored with all that green!
Specialty Stitches: Algerian eyelet, eight-sided eyelet, diamond eyelet, diagonal satin
