"This
design was stitched over one on 40 count linen. The design doesn't
really "represent" anything, but it is my "vote"
for Teresa to do a large over-one design!" (September 30, 1998) |

When/How did you
first start cross stitching?
I had a substitute
English teacher when I was a Junior in high school in Germany who would
stitch between classes. She and her son were good friends of mine, and
I became interested in stitching when I saw her doing TW's The Castle
(with Dragon). I begged her to teach me how to do it, and she went out
and bought me the fabric and pattern and stayed after school to teach
me how to sew. I've been hooked (or should I say "sewn") on TW patterns
every since. I still have The Castle hanging on my livingroom wall, complete
with stitches going in all directions, and knots all over the back, part
of it isn't completly backstitched....but I love it anyway.
What do you enjoy
most about cross stitching?
The calm contentment
that I get from it. As soon as I pick up my sewing, the rest of the world
disappears.
What are your favorite
Cross Stitch Subjects?
Of
course anything by TW. I like anything that is out of the ordinary. The
more exotic and fantastic the design the better.
What is your Favorite
TW Design(s)?
Fantasy
Sampler, Unicorn and Pegasus, Magical Night and Stroke of Midnight
Other Comments
from the Designer:
I just want to
put in a little thank you to you Teresa for your wonderful patterns,
and a great big thank you to my husband Todd for letting me spend hours
on them while the laundry piled up.
